GTD - Getting Things Done

Posted by: Rob Lavender

What's it all about? A guy called David Allen created a way of working that helps people to get things done.

The idea is that before you begin applying yourself to all your tasks, and then get side tracked by an urgent request by telephone or email, you organise your tasks into projects or contexts. By organising your tasks list the idea is that you'll be more efficient because you focus on the next task in hand rather than jumping between tasks randomly.

I use a free desktop application called iGTD on my Mac, which has now been superseded by a commercial application called Things.

Recently I've wanted on online GTD system that I could sync with my Anrdoid phone, and there's quite a lot of options.

I opted for GTDify.com and which is based on the Open Source GTD system http://getontracks.org/  and synced it using the Android app Shuffle
